While the average frequency of posts is just 1.56 per month, the average reach of users is a mere 2.9%. However, the economic impact per active professional is still a substantial 1,594 euros per year. In other words, companies are missing out on a potential financial gain by not promoting their profile on the social network.

Employees generate 5 times more reach than corporate brands and have 10 times more followers than company pages. In fact, 77% of buyers claim that employee posts influence their purchasing decisions (Edelman '24), and 78% of those actively using social media for marketing purposes outperform their colleagues in sales.

Best-performing sectors

Some sectors have caught on and taken the lead in LinkedIn positioning, now dominating most visibility. In this context, the sectors currently leading the pack are education, accounting for 33.8% of professional presence, followed closely by banking, at 23%. These sectors are followed by healthcare, real estate, and the legal field.

Professionals most active on LinkedIn

The professionals who post most actively and are consistently present on the platform are either from communication agencies (18.6%) or the education sector (16.1%). The latter, driven by the high number of professors, researchers, and experts from universities and business schools, boasts an economic impact of 13.1 million euros per year.

A small step can make a big difference

The report highlights that improving just one point in the overall employee scoring on LinkedIn can boost the economic impact by 70 to 150 euros per employee per year, equivalent to an approximate 18.8% growth in organic communication value for the company. Small advances with a significant return.

In conclusion, LinkedIn should no longer be viewed by companies as just a personal social network, as it can represent a source of income that many have yet to discover.
